After spending 12 years with an international financial services firm providing M&A and Corporate Finance services, Nathan founded Greenwood Capital Advisory on the belief that there was a gap in the lower middle market to provide hands-on, focused, and high-quality independent corporate finance services.
Over his tenure to date, Nathan has successfully led or co-led more than 35 successful transactions across a wide array of industries with a combined Enterprise value in excess of $2.15Bn.
Nathan has particular expertise in the IT & business services, food and beverage, manufacturing and distribution, energy, and transportation and logistics industries.
Nathan spent his career developing deep relationships with his owner-managed clients and understands the magnitude of the situation and decisions that business owners are forced to make. These are transformative decisions for business owners who have (in many cases) spent the majority of their careers building their businesses. These can be emotional processes, and Nathan believes that strong outcomes are underpinned by strong client/advisor relationships.
Nathan is both a Chartered Professional Accountant (2012), and a Chartered Business Valuator (2015) and regularly draws on that expertise throughout the course of his engagements.
When not advising his clients, Nathan enjoys spending time with his wife and two young children, traveling, and playing golf, hockey, and cycling.
